The Music Department at Paradise Valley Community College
Program of Study for Music Majors

This program of study has been designed for music majors at PVCC to aid them in course selection 
and to facilitate an easy transfer to a 4 year institution as a music major.

All music majors at PVCC must take each of the required courses, 
unless special permission has been granted by the music department.

This program of study is equivalent to the first two years at a 4 year institution.
Completion of all of the required courses will not grant students an automatic acceptance into a 4 year university. 
Each university will require students to pass a music performance audition and a music theory exam 
before they are admitted into the university as a music major.
