The First Year Experience (FYE) — Fall 2008 Programs.
Participants in the Fall 2008 First Year Experience enroll in a block of 3-4 freshman courses. Students will go from course to course together and will also have the same instructors. Opportunities are numerous for study groups, peer tutoring, faculty interaction, integration of assignments, and many group projects.


In Fall 2008, the following First Year Experience options are available:
FYE 101 Exploring Your Options in a Changing World
This Learning Community is for the student who is unsure of his/her major. This block is designed to help define your career goals more clearly and give you the tools needed to achieve those goals. This group of linked classes will enhance your understanding of who you are, what you do well, and how you fit into the world of the 21st Century.

FYE 101: Writing in the Age of Technology
Where will you be in the year 2020? Do you consider yourself up to date on technology? Are you ready to catch the next entrepreneurial wave in a career area? What type of technology opportunities will be available? This learning community will explore technology in the future and how it will impact you. Students will explore current and evolving technologies as a user and consumer of hardware, communications and applications and use technology in their expository writing.
Some sections have additional fees*.

How Do I Register for the First Year Experience Program?

Consult with an academic advisor at the PVCC Advisement Center, KSC-186 or call 602-787-7060 to schedule an advising appointment. An Advisor can register you in the program at the time of your appointment.
