Honors Forum Speaker
Event: International speaker, Sonia Nazario, who will present Enrique's Journey and America's Immigration Dilemma”
Date: October 15, 2008
Time: 7:00 p.m.
Location: Phoenix College, Bulpitt Auditorium, 1202 West Thomas Rd.
Ms. Nazario, a projects reporter for the Los Angeles Times, has spent more than two decades reporting about social issues, earning her dozens of national awards, including the Pulitzer Prize for Feature Writing for her series, Enrique's Journey, about the experience of Latin American children who immigrate to join their parents in the US. Expanding on the series, Nazario has written a book and the story is being turned into a miniseries for HBO.

Join us for free pizza and a stimulating conversation with two fans of the Honors program: Faculty, Donna Rebadow and VP of Academic Affairs, Mary Lou Mosley. Both of them spent time in China this summer, witnessed the aftermath of devastating earthquakes and the preparation of the Beijing Olympics. No RSVP necessary!
