Relationship of LC to the
Strategic Goals of Member Institutions:
Learning Connections contributes to the
accomplishment of the strategic goals and to the continuous improvement
of the
institutional effectiveness of each member institution.
Assumptions:
1. Each member institution believes the residents, learners, and
educational institutions of the North Valley will benefit from institutional
cooperation.
2. Since many educational issues and
trends transcend institutional boundaries, they are best addressed
from a system-wide perspective.
3. To varying degrees, each member
institution has constrained resources and is therefore increasingly
interested in the economies and efficiencies of scale concomitant
to institutional cooperation.
4. Diverse, representative and broad-based
representation on Learning Connections Focus Teams is essential
to the successful development and implementation of Learning Connections
activities.
5. Since institutional personnel have
limited time to invest in Learning Connections activities, each
activity must be carefully planned, promoted, implemented and
evaluated.
