is the Winter Institute Philosophy? A series of ten

offered during this weeklong professional experience for
learning assistance directors and practitioners:
History
of the Institutes (1977-2005 ): From the original vision
of Martha Maxwell to hold a weeklong summer training program
for learning support center directors and staff at UC Berkeley,
to Frank Christ's leadership at CSU Long Beach, to an interim
institute at the United States Air Force Academy, to the
the winter series co-sponsored by the University of Arizona
and Paradise Valley Community College to the new series
of Winter Institutes hosted by Alan Constant, Director of
the Learning Center at the University of Texas at Austin
