The Steering Committee established a timeline and framework for
the Self-Study process. The Self-Study Plan was published and
sent to the HLC in July 2003. Five subcommittees were formed,
one for each of the new criteria of accreditation.
In the Fall of 2003, a campus-wide .Kick-Off Event. was held
during the annual all-employee breakfast. Following a brief orientation,
the subcommittees began to explore the new criteria. Each subcommittee
created a worksheet containing key questions, possible sources
of evidence, and contacts.

Evidence was gathered and analyzed. In October and November of
2003, each subcommittee hosted a Self- Study Forum, sharing their
initial findings and asking the College for formal feedback. Using
the input from the forums, the committees gathered and analyzed
additional information and began to draft their findings.
The Self-Study process, however, is ongoing. Committees will
continue to meet to follow-up on their specific recommendations.
In addition, the College is dedicated to institutionalizing self-study
processes as a part of its learning-centered philosophy.
