3 Hour Pre-Conference Institute

Presentation Title:

Maximizing the TutorTrac Experience, Part 2

Presentation Description:

VENDOR SESSION: TutorTrac users will be able to recapture the synergy experienced during the TutorTrac conference held earlier this year.  This institute will provide valuable training to a large number of TutorTrac users who attend CRLA.  Maximizing participants’ TutorTrac experience will enable them to better serve their learning center populations.

Part 2: Will showcase and discuss modules for TutorTrac including SurveyTrac, WhiteBoard, SAGE Early Warning System and using TutorTrac with your Supplemental Instruction program.

Institute/Session Summary:

The TutorTrac Institute will be comprised of two separate sessions.  The second three-hour session will cover SurveyTrac, Whiteboard, SAGE Early Warning System, and using TutorTrac with your Supplemental Instruction program.  A basic potential description of each topic is listed below.  Participants will be encouraged to ask questions throughout the training as well as provide insight to other campus’ situations.

Part 2 - Afternoon Session:

The second three-hour session will showcase and discuss modules for TutorTrac including SurveyTrac, WhiteBoard, SAGE Early Warning System and using TutorTrac with your Supplemental Instruction program. A basic potential description of each topic is listed below. Participants will be encouraged to ask questions throughout the training as well as provide insight and feedback to other campus’ situations.

SurveyTrac
A demonstration of the basics of SurveyTrac will show how qualitative feedback will improve your services to students and staff. Participants learn how to utilize the SurveyTrac module to maintain high standards and advance their services.

Whiteboard
This topic introduces the Whiteboard module and its potential for online tutoring. It shows the user interaction in the Whiteboard session and instructs the administrators how to set up their virtual sessions. Participants will understand and discuss methods of implementing and utilizing the Whiteboard online components.

SAGE Early Warning System
This discussion will show how SAGE allows professors, or other appropriate personnel, to indicate that a student is having difficulties and requires special attention. Participants will learn how to bridge the gap with faculty and other centers in order to better serve the sometimes “special” needs of students.

Supplemental Instruction
This discussion will cover the entry of Supplemental Instruction visits into the TutorTrac program. Participants will find shortcuts to entering this data and how to show SI sessions on your schedule. Participants will gain unique knowledge about tracking SI sessions and share ideas related to Supplemental Instruction.
