President's Perspective on New SIS System
Our PVCC co-project managers of the new SIS, Jo Ann Caufield and Paul Golisch, assure us that the conversion process is progressing very smoothly. The announcement regarding the new system includes an introductory splash page that will be displayed for eight seconds before automatically redirecting you to the PVCC home page. Brochures, mailings, door signs and banners will be placed throughout the college to supply more information. Links to my.maricopa.edu will be inserted into the PVCC web site. The SIS Helpdesk number if 602-787-6767. Additional faculty training sessions are being offered throughout the spring. Remember, a FERPA tutorial must be completed before attending training. The SIS will function as our Online Student Center, and should make life more efficient for our students and the rest of our college community. Everyone who participated in bringing the new SIS system to fruition should be proud of this accomplishment.

The tutorial website is: www.maricopa.edu/legal/ferpa/ferpa_tutorial/ferpatutorial.htm. To register for spring training sessions go to: www.pvc.maricopa.edu/nss/reg_fac.html.

Projects Update

Clarification
We would like to clarify an item from last week’s NFTF. Vice President Bob Bendotti has been appointed to the P-20 Task Force -  not the P-20 Commission of the Higher Education Committee.

Cordially,
