Faculty & Staff News   Student Services Institute Recently, five PVCC employees completed the Student Services Institute, SSI, at Phoenix College.  The program provides MCCCD’s student services employees the foundational knowledge of the Student Affairs profession.  Since its inception in 2003, more than 120 employees have participated in SSI courses. Congratulations to the following student services professionals: Ms. Helice Agria, Program Advisor Athletics Ms. Jacque Battistone, Office Coordinator, Advising Ms. Charlene Cheatham, Admissions & Records Technician II Ms. Beth Guerra, Nursing Advisor Mr. Andrew Helman, Academic Advisor DAC Award for Excellence Congratulations to Michele Marion, Director of International Studies and Adjunct Faculty in the Division of Social and Behavioral Sciences, who was the recipient of the Diversity Advisory Council (DAC) Award for Excellence, Weaving Threads of Change at Maricopa.  Michele is responsible for working with faculty, students, and staff to integrate global awareness and understanding into their experiences at PVCC. Commencement I want to thank you for a wonderful academic year.  Many students have taken the time to tell me about how happy they are at PVCC and how grateful they are for all of the extraordinary opportunities they have at PVCC.  I wish all of you a wonderful summer break.
