in the News
- Dr. Mary Lou Mosley, vice president of
Academic Affairs, was featured in a recent news story about PVCC’s
growing enrollment by CBS 5 reporter Lisa Kelly. It also compared the
costs of college tuition. The clip includes interviews of PVCC students
Mark Smith and Claire Johnson.
If you missed the airing of the segment,

to share a ride to work. To apply to
be a carpooling team, pick up a “Request for Preferred Parking” form in
the Public Safety Office.

Krawcheck Earns National
Nurse
Educator Certification
Jennifer Krawcheck is the first nursing faculty at PVCC to pass the
National League for Nursing’s Certified Nurse Educator exam. The CNE
distinction recognizes excellence and expertise in the advanced
specialty of nursing education.
“She is an outstanding instructor and leader in nursing education,”
says Rose Dermody, PVCC Nursing Program chair. “The certification is a
mark of professionalism and communicates to students, peers and the
academic and health care communities that the highest standards of
excellence are being met.”
Gerlach
and Dreier Coach Summer Collegiate Leagues
PVCC assistant coaches Troy Gerlach and Thom Dreier didn’t take a
vacation from baseball after PVCC’s inaugural baseball season. They
spent the summer coaching development collegiate league teams in New
York and Alaska. Gerlach was an assistant coach for the Amsterdam
Mohawks, which won the 2009 New York Collegiate Baseball League
championship. Dreier was the head coach of the Anchorage Bucs, which
finished second in the Alaska Baseball League.
