The student will demonstrate the ability to determine an information need, access successfully and evaluate critically the needed information, and organize and apply the information
appropriately to accomplish a given task.
- The student will be able to determine the nature and extent of the information needed.
- The student will be able to access needed information effectively and efficiently.
- The student will be able to evaluate information and its sources critically and incorporate selected information into his or her knowledge base and value system.
- The student, individually or as a member of a group, will be able to use information effectively to accomplish a specific purpose.
- The student will be able to understand many of the economic, legal, and social issues surrounding the use of information and access and use information ethically and legally.
