Note: While all math items on the placement assessment have been designed
to be answered without the use of a calculator, calculators may now be
used on all COMPASS math placement assessments and on the Algebra portions
of the ASSET placement assessments. Calculators are NOT permitted on the
ASSET Numerical Skills Assessment. Certain
types of calculators are not permitted. Contact the Assessment/Testing
Center if you are not sure whether your calculator may be used.

Mission:
The mission of the Assessment/Testing Center at Paradise Valley Community College is to promote learning by administering, proctoring, and scoring tests in accordance with Maricopa Community College District Policy.
The Assessment/Testing Center at PVCC subscribes to the Code of Fair Testing Practices in Education developed by the Joint Committee on Testing Practices and the Professional Standards and Guidelines promoted by the National College Testing Association and is a member of the Consortium of College Testing Centers.
