Assessment/Testing Center
Information for Distance Learning Students
The Assessment/Testing Center at PVCC offers exam adminstration and proctoring services to Distance Learners in our community. The Assessment/Testing Center is a member of the Consortium of College Test Centers sponsored by the National College Testing Association. Paper and pencil exams, exams that require the use of a PC and MS Office applications such as MS Word or MS Excel, and internet exams can be accommodated. Due to rising costs and increased demand for proctored exams for other institutions, it has become necessary to begin charging fees for other services rendered as of September 1, 2006. These fees must be paid prior to the administration of the exam. Any fees not covered by the originating institution will be charged to the examinee.

If not covered by your institution these fees will be charged to you. These fees must be paid at the cashier's office prior to test administration. The proctor will give you a detailed fee statement to take to the cashier's office. Fees may be paid by cash, check or money order payable to PVCC, or credit/debit card.
- Exams, including all necessary processing, must begin and end within the regularly scheduled hours for walk-in testing. Allow extra time for checking in and out, paying any fees, and completing any necessary paperwork required by your school or institution. Exams will be collected promptly at the end of the scheduled walk-in testing period. If the exam is to be copied or faxed or any other processing is required, the exam will be collected prior to the end of the scheduled walk-in testing period to allow time for these activities.
