PUMAS SHUTOUT THE THUNDERBIRDS

The Pumas improve their record to 11-0, beating Mesa Community College on September 29th 5-0. Tianna Stewart scored the first goal in the first half in the 26th minute. In the 32nd minute Ali Doller blasted a shot from a lay off from Cassie Beckwith.

The Pumas scored their third goal in the 51st minute. Doller assisted a long bomb by Jess DeLeon. In the 80th minute Marisa Villaverde served a ball to DeLeon who slotted the ball past the keeper. Seven minutes later Erin Turner finished off an assist from Ashley Johnson.

PVCC recorded 22 shots on goal to MCC’s 2.
Tessa Hamberlin played the first half in goal for the Pumas. Hamberlin recorded 0 saves. Rachel Cardwell went in goal for the second half. Cardwell finished the game with 2 saves.

Coach Kacey Bingham said, “This was a solid performance from our ladies. We have a big week coming up with 3 games. This will be a new challenge for our team.” On October 2nd the Pumas compete against Scottsdale Community College at 3:30pm at home.
