DOLLER AND DELEON SET NEW SCHOOL RECORDS The PVCC women’s soccer team celebrated their sophomores in their last regular season home game with a win against Phoenix College 8-0. Ali Doller scored a hat trick in the first half. Courtney Chung also found the back of the net for a score of 4-0 at half time. Doller was assisted by Jessie DeLeon, Cassie Beckwith, and Selena Bracamonte. Ashley Stein assisted Chung on her finish. The Pumas found four more goals in the second half. Doller, Beckwith, Bracamonte, and Kendall Fraley each contributed a goal. Doller had two assists, DeLeon and Kristin Lydiard each had one assist for the second half. Doller recorded a new school record with 24 goals for the season. DeLeon set a new school record with 14 assists for the season. Tessa Hamberlin and Courtney Hageman each played 45 minutes in goal. Hamberlin recorded 0 saves. Hageman recorded 2 saves. “Ali and Jessie have played great all season. I’m proud of what they have accomplished but we will need them both to continue to perform to help us in playoffs,” commented Coach Kacey Bingham. The Pumas play again tonight against Gateway Community College at 7:00pm at Rose Mofford. dod |
