The PVCC women’s soccer team played Laramie County Community College in the second round of pool play. The women came to win and finished three goals in the first half. The first goal came off a free kick on top of the 18 yd box. Jessie DeLeon slotted a ball to Ali Doller who finished back post. The second goal came when DeLeon pressured the keeper and knocked a ball across the goal line where Ashley Johnson found the net. Doller finished the third goal when she intercepted a keeper throw and then chipped the ball over the keeper’s head. PVCC went on to win the game 4-0 with the final goal in the second half. DeLeon scored the last goal with an assist from Doller.

Hamberlin and Cardwell split time in the net to tally 2 saves.

“This was one of our best games all year. Everyone played outstanding and we were able to get everyone some playing time which is so important. We need to keep this level of play throughout the tournament,” commented Coach Kacey Bingham. PVCC plays Iowa Western in the semi final match on Friday.
