Women’s Soccer December 17, 2012 DELEON NAMED NSCAA PLAYER OF THE YEAR The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) has announced its 2012 College and High School Players of the Year lineup. Among the 22 so honored, Puma Jessica DeLeon was tabbed for the 2012 NSCAA Women’s Junior College Division 1 spot. As a member of the 2012 NJCAA Division 1 Women's Soccer National Championship team, Jess garnered numerous honors this season. Her 2012 accomplishments include: NJCAA First Team All-American, NJCAA Division 1 National Championship Tournament All-Tournament Team, NJCAA First Team All-Region, First Team All-ACCAC. Jess played in 24 games with 23 starts in 2012. She entered the Puma record book by setting the school record for assists in a season with 24. She also scored 19 goals on the season. Jess and her fellow honorees will be recognized at the NSCAA All-America Luncheon in Indianapolis, IN on Saturday, January 19 during the 2013 NSCAA Convention. Congratulations Jess! NSCAA Website
