WOMEN'S TENNIS STILL SWINGING

The PVCC womens tennis team played their only match of the week against Mesa Community College on Tuesday. They lost 9-0. The team played hard and fought in every match.

The highlight of the day was at the number one flight. Clementine Eckert of PVCC played an exciting match against the number one from Mesa, Ashley Wingersky. The match went back and forth and each set could have gone either way. The final score was 6-3,6-3.

"I am so proud of the way Clementine played today, it was great seeing her play her best against a good opponent. She was so close to pulling off the win. I am hoping this is a turning point for her this season and she builds on this match and goes into the final stretch of the season playing her best” said head coach Feroz Rast.

The loss brings the PVCC season record to 2-6. They play again on Tuesday April 8 at Glendale Community College.
