The Pumas wrapped up the 2014 season on Wednesday with a loss by the doubles team of Savannah Quintana and Makenna George in the semi-finals of the number three doubles team. They lost to Eastern Arizona in straight sets.

The post-season regional tournament was held at Paseo Racquet Club in Glendale on Tuesday and Wednesday. The two-day tournament started on Tuesday with each player playing in their designated flight. The draws consisted of players from all five conference schools. Paradise Valley started the day with a big win by sophomore Nisha Barretto at the number three singles, but could not get another point the rest of the day. The doubles team of Clementine Eckert and Anastasia Ovichinnokova played a close match, but lost in straight sets.

Coach Rast on his first season as head coach, “The season was very successful. I am proud of every single player and the work they put in this year. We were able to pull out some hard fought victories against some good opponents. We still have some work ahead of us to compete with the best teams in our conferences, but I love the direction we are headed.”
