Open Lab support

PVCC employees have free access to use the software and hardware in the CC Open Lab. Employees are expected to show a PVCC staff ID (available from College Safety) to access CC Open Lab resources.

Look for persons wearing a green band around their neck with a badge on the end. These are lab staff available to help in the Open Lab.

Employees in the Open Lab requiring in-depth one-on-one help should schedule time with a technology trainer. Technology trainers include:

Chrystle Hall - Technology Training Coordinator in E115 - 602.787.7784
Jennifer Strickland - Instructional Technologist in E114 - 602.787.6794
Rick Sheets Director Learning Support Center in E186 - 602.787.7183

Requesting a change in classroom software/hardware/image

Only existing, installed software is to be used in the CC Open Lab or CC classrooms. Software changes and updates must meet campus software guidelines and be approved by using the Technology Request Form. Considerations include advance notice (before images are built), compatibility with existing hardware configuration and software, program size and requirements, server and desktop space allocations and availability, and number of users.

Reserve a CC classroom

Classes, meetings, training, and demonstrations for academic classes have first priority after academic classes, labs are available on a first come, first serve, basis.

Ask for a Room Reservation Form (RRF) or use our online Room Reservation Form. CC staff Julie Murphy does most of the reservable classroom scheduling.

NOTE: Only existing, installed software is to be used in the CC Open Lab or CC classrooms. You may request a change in classroom software/hardware or image.

"Show Me First" classroom presentation on CC Lab Use policies
