Bob Ross®
As seen on the PBS “Joy of Painting” program, the Bob Ross® wet-on-wet oil painting method is easy to learn – even for beginners. Complete an entire painting in one class, with no experience necessary. Photos of the paintings are at: www.paradisevalley.edu/ce or http://www.dennisoilpainting.com.
Instructor: Dennis Harpool, Certified Bob Ross® Instructor
- For best results, Bob Ross® brushes, oil paints, and odorless thinner are recommended. These supplies may be purchased at most arts & crafts stores. Students may bring other brands of paints or brushes, but success with this method cannot be guaranteed.
- There are easels available in the classroom. It’s very important to bring all the supplies listed. If you don’t bring all the paint colors, you may not be able to complete the painting. The instructor does not sell or have any extra supplies, and the instructor is not responsible if you can’t find all the paint colors or other supplies.
- Don’t wait until the day before class to buy your supplies. If you do, it’s likely you won’t be able to find everything you need. You may need to go to more than one store to find all the supplies. If you can’t find all the required Bob Ross paint colors, buy another brand of oil color – but don’t come to class without all required supplies.
- Register early as class size is limited.
Class will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. Please plan to arrive at least 20 minutes before class to set up your workstation.
