Directions to meet at Lake Pleasant Regional Park
(Peoria, Arizona)
Take I-17 North to Carefree Hwy exit. (RT# 74)
(turn left - heading West)
Take Carefree Hwy ( 74) west for about 15 miles
Note: you will go past Ben Avery Gun shooting range
Go past Lake Pleasant Road
Go past Lake Pleasant Marina road entrance
Continue to CASTLE HOT SPRINGS ROAD
Turn right on Castle Hot Springs Road
Continue to LAKE PLEASANT ACCESS RD NORTH
Turn Right on Lake Pleasant Access Rd. North and go to toll booth (pay $5.00 park fee).
Ask for a park map.
Continue going on North Park Road. It will wind up and around the mountain to the left
Turn Right on PENINSULAR BLVD and continue till it looks like it dead ends (it doesn’t)
Turn to Left and go up to OPERATIONS HEADQUARTERS parking lot in front of building.
We will meet here at 8:45am
Bring your Camera & lenses and tripod and also bring your “instruction” manual in case you need it. If you have a Polarizing filter, please bring it!
Bring snacks and water / beverages (there is no place to purchase). Bring sunscreen and a hat and sunglasses as well. There are rest rooms throughout the park.
