POETRY LOST AND FOUND
MATERIALS
An old book - you will tear out pages to use in found poetry, so no
children's board books, picture books, or textbooks. Look for books with
exciting themes - adventures, thrillers, mysteries or romance books are great.
Buy them second hand.
A magazine with articles - Oprah, Psychology Today, or Spirituality
and Health are good.
Glue - Elmer's is fine
Color pencils (set of 6 is fine).
Black or Sepia Pitt Pen (S, F, or M) or Micron pen (03-08)
Glue/paint brushes - two 1-inch house painting brush (not foam) is
good. The other two should be small, for detail work. Student brushes that are
inexpensive and come in packs are good for this.
Paper tablet in a size you like to work with - anything from 4 x 6
to 9 x 12 is fine. Should be at least 80 lb or 130 gsm weight.
Three small bottles of inexpensive acrylic paint - a very pale
color, a stronger color of the same family, and an accent color that
coordinates. Examples: cream, light ochre, burnt sienna. Or
pale yellow, light yellow and cobalt blue.
Color pencils (set of 6 is fine).
Instructor will supply blank cards for final work, additional
color pencils, gel pens.
