MATERIALS

Scissors

Pencil (#2 or HB)

Eraser

Glue/paint brushes - one1-inch house painting brush (not foam) is good. Two small brushes for detail work. Round brushes are best, flat tip will work. Student brushes that are inexpensive and come in packs are good for this.

Three small bottles of inexpensive acrylic paint - a very pale color, a stronger color of the same family, and an accent color that coordinates. Examples: cream, light ochre, burnt sienna. Or pale yellow, light yellow and cobalt blue.

Catalog or magazine with small color photographs of a variety of objects.

Colored gel pens (2 colors will be enough, if you have more, bring them)

Color pencils (set of 6 is fine).

Black or Sepia Pitt Pen (S, F, or M) or Micron pen (03-08)

3 Paint chip strips in your favorite colors

Instructor will supply 35-mm slide mounts.
