Bob Ross Painting Workshops
As seen on the PBS “Joy of Painting” program, the Bob Ross® wet-on-wet oil painting method is easy to learn - even for beginners. You'll be able to complete an entire painting in just one class, with no experience necessary. There are 2 options regarding supplies:
  • Materials list and color photos of the paintings can be found at the links after each course description.An 18x24 canvas, paper towels, baby wipes and trash bag must be supplied by the student.
  • Brushes, paints, palette knife and thinner can be conveniently rented for $20, payable in cash to the instructor.
For best results, Bob Ross® brushes and paints are recommended. However, you may bring other oil paints and brushes if you wish. We will be setting up your workstation at 8:10am so everyone is ready to paint promptly at 8:30am. Must be at least 16 years old to enroll. Register early as class size is limited. Bring a sack lunch.

Birdwatching for Beginners NEW!
If you are curious about the birds around you but just don’t know where to start, this is for you! Be introduced to the basics of birdwatching and the fun and entertaining way to ‘watch’ them. Learn to spot and identify a variety of birds by sight and sound, how to use a birding book, and use and calibrate binoculars. Two field trips will allow you to apply your knowledge in real settings, and once class is over you’ll be well prepared to head out on your own. Text: Peterson’s Field Guide to Western Birds, available at most bookstores and amazon.com. Bring binoculars to class and field trips. For field trips, wear strong, sturdy shoes, bring water, food sunscreen, binoculars and the field guide.

In this basic class, learn to easily archive your videotape collection onto CD/DVD and also create your own CD/DVD movies from your camcorder, VCR and more. Demonstrations will be provided on how to convert and view your videos on new gadgets. The process will include a PC computer, video capture device and software. Please bring a VHS tape and a blank CD/DVD. If converting anything other than a VHS tape, please also bring a camcorder (with audio and video cables).

Either way, this hands-on introduction to the practice of interior design is for you! Emphasis is on student choices and includes design, budget and space. You will learn to create a residential, scaled floor plan of a space including furnishings, finishes, estimations and budgets. Site visits will be discussed in class. Please bring to class:
