Basic Digital Photography Techniques (Digital SLR)
Learn basic digital photography techniques. Learn how to get your camera off ‘program’ or ‘auto’ mode for better pictures. This class offers the opportunity to learn use of shutter and aperture modes for more effective images. Learn proper exposure metering techniques, depth of field, use of filters, flash as well as better composition and travel tips. Student’s cameras must be a digital single lens reflex (SLR) that can be set manually and have interchangeable lenses. No point and shoot cameras, please. Please read your instruction book and bring it with your camera to class. Field trip to the Desert Botanical Gardens will be on Sat, June 20, from 9-11am. Students must provide own transportation and admission fee.

Int/Adv Digital Photography: Your Portfolio

Digital Photography Basics NEW!
With lecture, demonstration and homework, this class describes the basic digital camera settings for use under most shooting conditions. Image file transfers and basic computer file navigation are also covered. This class provides the student with the background needed to purchase the first digital camera or upgrade to the next level.
