Bloodborne Pathogens (Q120A)

Details:
Bloodborne pathogens are microorganisms carried by human blood (and other body fluids) and cannot be seen with the naked eye. They can be spread through contact with infected blood. If they get into the bloodstream, an individual may become infected and sick. This interactive course covers the content of an Exposure Control Program, provides an Understanding of Bloodborne Pathogens and Modes of Transmission, describes Method to Control Bloodborne Pathogens in the workplace, reviews recommended Exposure Procedures, introduces the components of the OSHA Regulation, and allows for Questions and Answers. This course includes a written test which each must be passed with a score of 80% or better to receive a certificate of completion. Regulatory Reference: This course meets the intent of OSHA 1910.1030 requirements. Audience: Any MCCCD employee who can reasonably be expected to come in contact with blood or other bodily fluids in the performance of their job duties.
