This workshop will provide participants the opportunity to utilize the StrengthsFinder assessment to identify, understand, and affirm their talent and learn how their Signature Themes represent areas of talent that can become strengths.

prereqs: Approximately one week prior to workshop, employees enrolled will be sent a StrengthsFinder Code and directions on how to use the code to complete their assessment. Employees who receive a code (worth $10) will be expected to attend the training.

Prezi is an alternative to PowerPoint. Prezi is a web-based presentation application with a single canvas instead of traditional slides. You can add text, images, videos and other presentation objects to the canvas. The canvas allows users to create non-linear presentations, where they can zoom in and out of a visual map. The result: visually captivating presentations that lead your audience down a path of discovery. No prerequisite.

This hybrid program utilizes the Getting Results online course with a variety of supplemental materials made available through the Blackboard Learning Management System. **Saturday Session - Lunch will be provided.** You will learn the mechanics of working in Blackboard with the emphasis on instructional design; embedding your Syllabus, Orientation Assignment, Course Calendar, and Building Community in your course. This workshop has two-parts and fulfills part of the requirements for developing an online or in a hybrid format. Homework is involved and set up in a hybrid format. Prerequisite: Blackboard Essentials: Course Setup.

You’ll also learn when to use these tools to create an interactive site for teamwork. How to locate the best sites for quality lessons, web-quests, online activities, rubrics, and other alternative assessments. Finally, adding voice to your course. Prerequisite: Preparing to Teach Part 1.
