	Mar 22	9 a.m. - 3 p.m.	The Democracy Commitment: Engaging Students in Civic Issues and the Community Employee Dialogue Day, Q120A/B Calendar: cal4 Details: Register Today: http://mcli.maricopa.edu/node/1823 Description: The purpose of this Dialogue Day is to provide faculty with an opportunity to engage in rich conversations about MCCCD�s Civic Engagement outcome statements and participation in The Democracy Commitment. This day will include special emphasis on strategies for facilitating student learning, achievement, and success by incorporating community and public policy issues both in and outside of the classroom. Faculty members of the Civic Curriculum Infusion Project will present on their projects and other information will be provided for those interested in applying for future civic infusion stipends.

Getting some basic training will help. There is a philosophical difference between Blackboard and Canvas as a learning management system. Understanding these differences will support you as you lay out your course. If you only plan to use Canvas for uploading your syllabus, announcements, and grades, this workshop is for you. 	Mar 22	9:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.	The EDGE Adjunct Faculty Spring 2013 Program (Q120B) Calendar: cal4 Details: The EDGE Program is a professional learning community for new PVCC (first three years of teaching experience at PVCC)and veteran Adjunct Faculty members. This hybrid program utilizes the Getting Results online course with a variety of supplemental materials made available through the Blackboard Learning Management System. Recognizing that this program can benefit the veteran adjunct faculty member as well, we also encourage your participation! The EDGE program meets on 4 Fridays: Feb 15, March 1, 22 and April 19, 2013. 9:30 am - 1:00 pm. You will need to attend all four sessions. Must be teaching Spring 2013 Semester.
