The Business Club Field Study of London
online journal entries
“Among the 25 countries that integrate the European Union, England seems to have one of the strongest economies…London is a diversified city with people from France, Italy and Spain rendering their services. In the marketplace, people appear to be able to sell their wares without strict constraints of tariffs, quota or economic sanctions. London is the financial center of this part of the world. The markets appear to be solid and sophisticated. The labor rate is 20% higher than in other EU countries. The people are polite, and conservative, but appear to be open and adapt to new concepts. This trip was enriching. It gave us first hand experience of another developed society. English cling to tradition, but also enjoy a high standard of living.”
