Goals and Activities
Goals
First - To act as a social and academic support group for Indigenous, Native American Indian, Alaskan Native and Native Hawaiian students. As a result, the club seeks to increase the rate of graduation as well as to promote academic success among Native American students. Also, to support and promote more Native American related subjects at PVCC.

Second - To increase awareness of the presence of the Indigenous People of the American continents on the Paradise Valley Community College campus and to promote the integrity/continuation of Native culture and traditions.
Third - To extend our services to the general community so as to promote education concerning the Indigenous Peoples in local, state, national and international events.
The PVCC Native American community is comprised of a variety of tribal affiliated persons, Alaskan Native and Pacific Islanders. The club members actively plan many events which range from social activities to invited guest speakers, lecturers and elders on Indigenous-related topics. |

ACTIVTIES PLANNED FOR THE UPCOMING ACADEMIC YEAR.
Native American Recognition Week is our largest activity of the year. A week of information sharing and a celebration of Native culture. Usually held during Native American Recognition Month October 1 to November 17 .
Activities consists of workshops/lectures and films. Everything is current and relevant to Native people. |
