Advisor’s reports:

• Officers need to talk with Ryan about Honor’s Institute. June 18th to 23rd in Denver Colorado Ryan is finishing up the final plans.
• Review of PTK web site to get more information on the Honor’s Institute  ptk.org/honors/institute
• Get involved in PTK web site, College Fish for University transfer information, scholarships and online trainings. Ptk.org/edge/login
• Stephen has officer pins for new officers. If new officers want the have the medallions, new officers will have to pay for the medallions if they decide to.
• Advisors will be making a proposal for help with funding to Dr. Dale this next year.
• Will have to have upcoming fund raising.
• Last day for this semester to join (using last semester’s GPA) in May 11th.

Graduation

• PTK will be selling roses at Graduation to raise money for the chapter
• A booth will be set up to sell roses and to promote PTK. Officers whom will be setting up the booth need to be at Phoenix First Assembly of God Church 13613 N Cave Creek Rd. Phoenix, Az 85022, at 5pm. Aaron, Karisa, Darlene and Ryan will be selling the roses.  Ceremony starts at 7pm, and will last for about 1.5 hours.
• Please take a request letter and ask for donations from your local florist – Don’t forget to follow up with a thank you letter if donations are given!! If the sore is not able to give a donation, ask if they would be willing to provide us s discount on the roses.
• Any extra help can volunteer for ushers during graduation.
• Student life can help provide transportation to the ceremony for PTK.
• Confirmations from Albertson’s and Safeway for donations. Target will be following up with Ryan on the donation.

New Recruitment Day

• Monday April 23rd did get about 4-5 people set up with their codes to log in to PTK web site.  There were many others whom asked about joining, but did not have the GPA or have completed 12 credits. Steve indicated that they can volunteer to help if they wanted.

• PTK will not be hosting  the Relay For Life event or having a team this year
• PTK members are welcome to join other teams and participate in the event

Arizona Regional Convention

• Our chapter will be co-hosting the Regional convention with MCC
• The Convention will take place on Friday March 2 from 9:30-10:00 p.m. and on Saturday March 3 from 6 – 10 p.m.
• The theme for convention is PTK Olympics, the Study topic for the year is the Culture of Competition
• Our chapter will be hosting a table at the convention to promote our chapter, we will also be selling Support Our Troops wristbands to raise money.
• Our chapter will also be holding workshops on mentoring and rigor in education
• If you would like to attend the convention please RSVP contact Stacy or Ryan by Monday February 27! The price for convention is $60.00.

Relay For Life

• PTK team is being led by Karisa Kauspedas
• This year’s theme is Disney
• If you have questions or would like to apply to be on the team contact Karisa
• Our team needs to plan fundraisers to for the event and at the event

BUSINESS AND UPCOMING EVENTS

• Meeting time for the PTK meetings will remain at 12:30-1:30, majority of members voted to keep current meeting time.
• MCC regional meetings – ALL officers must attend, Mesa Community College Feb. 7 from 3-5 p.m. will be planning activities and discussing convention, etc.
• Valentine’s Market Place  February 13, 2012 10:30-1:30 – volunteers needed to help set up, watch, and take down the PTK table at the event, game and fundraiser planned, we will be selling roses. Voting results: 6 members for selling roses, 0 members against selling roses, and 1 member abstained.
• Regional convention – March 3/2 10:00 am to 10:00 pm -March 3/3 7:00 am to 10:00 pm. Decided to sell Support Our Troops wristbands at the PTK table to help raise money. A PTK table has been reserved, need members to set up and watch table. If you can attend contact Ryan or Stacy!
