Who we are and what we believe

The Student Christian Association is a student led organization that is open to all PVCC students. The purpose of the group is to provide activities that will enable its members to grow in their spiritual lives.

We believe that the biblical teachings are true. We believe that the Bible reveals the keys to finding peace, happiness and purpose in this life and for eternity. The central figure of the Bible is Jesus Christ. Through following Jesus we can find the answers to life's most important questions and direction for our lives. And through Jesus Christ we find true community with others who believe in Him.

We have various activities throughout the year that provide a means for achieving our purpose.

What is the Student Christian Association (SCA) and why do we think you should be a part?

SCA is a group of people who are committed to pursuing the truth about Jesus Christ. SCA is associated with and participates in activities with Christian groups on other college campuses, including Arizona State University. This affiliation enables students who will be transferring to ASU the opportunity to get acquainted with the ASU campus and ASU students.

SCA is a group of people who believe that the college experience is far more important than papers, projects, pop quizzes and pizza. We believe that the college experience serves another purpose. It's not only about preparing for your vocation, it's about finding your place in the world and preparing yourself for life.
