The Peer Mentor Program is a guided experiential leadership opportunity designed to help you, the successful college student, develop and practice your leadership skills in a peer helping relationship. Students selected to be Peer Mentors provide role modeling and guidance to first-year students, working with an instructor in an assigned College Success class. Activities include facilitating student engagement and providing individualized referral to campus resources.

So, if you …

  • have completed a College Success class (AAA115 or CPD150) with an "A"
  • are interested in a career in human services such as (but not limited to):
    • psychology / human development
    • education / counseling / consulting
    • social work / community development
    • health services / medical sciences
    • business training / employee development
  • would like to further develop your skills in communication and teamwork
  • practice effective study techniques
  • desire to serve as a role model for new students
  • enjoy reflection, self-awareness, and personal growth
