Peer Mentor Application

The Peer Mentor Program is a guided experiential leadership opportunity designed to help you, the successful college student, develop and practice your leadership skills in a peer helping relationship. Students selected to be Peer Mentors provide role modeling and guidance to first-year students, working with an instructor in an assigned College Success class. Activities include facilitating student engagement and providing individualized referral to campus resources.

So, if you …

have completed a College Success class (AAA115 or CPD150) with an "A"
are interested in a career in human services such as (but not limited to):
- psychology / human development
- education / counseling / consulting
- social work / community development
- health services / medical sciences
- business training / employee development
would like to further develop your skills in communication and teamwork
practice effective study techniques
desire to serve as a role model for new students
enjoy reflection, self-awareness, and personal growth

...you will find being a Peer Mentor highly rewarding!
