Early College Grant Program Information
The Early College Grant is awarded to qualified high school students attending Paradise Valley Community College a Maricopa Community College.ELIGIBILITY
- Student is an Arizona resident or has lawful immigration status
- Student recipients must demonstrate “financial need”
- Financial need is when a household’s income falls below 200 percent of the U.S. Health and Human Services Poverty Guidelines
- Complete Early College Grant Application Form
- Submit a signed copy of the most recent year’s Federal Income Tax Return for the student and the parent or guardians
- For households that do not file income tax returns, provide documentation from any of the following federal benefits programs:
- Supplemental Social Security
- Food Stamps
- Free or Reduced Price Lunch
- TANF Temporary Assistance for Needy Families
- WIC Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children
- Supplemental Social Security
- Grant awards will be applied toward resident tuition
- Grants cover a maximum of six credit hours per student per year
- Students must complete each class with a grade of A, B, or C in order to receive additional grant funds for the following term
- Withdrawal after the last date for Official Course Withdrawal will disqualify a student for any additional grant awards
- A disqualified student may request reconsideration based on extenuating circumstances
