Comments and Suggestions from Dean Team Meetings

• 3rd Dean title should also reflect focus on learning:
            - Maintain title of Dean of Administrative Services.

• Show integrated learning cluster as a joint report to Dean of Learning and Dean of Learning Support Services:
            - Faculty report to Dean of Learning.
            - Additional program support is provided by Dean of Learning Support Services.

• Review all titles of Deans and Associate Deans to consider re-titling to reflect focus on learning:
            - Requires review by MCCCD Employment Services.

• The relationships (and communication channels) between the 3 Deans need to be represented:
            - Legend now indicates: dotted line = coordinating relationship.

• Under Dean of Learning, change "Learning Clusters" to "Learning Divisions and Programs"
            - Done.

• Move International Education from Integrated Learning Cluster to Senior Associate Dean of Learning (Community and Occupational Cluster): 
           - Senior Associate Dean assumes leadership responsibility for total
                    International Education program (Title VI-B,
                    International Business and International Studies).

• Under Director of Institutional Planning Research and Assessment, change "NCA" to "Accreditation."
            - Done.

• Under the Dean of Learning Support Services:
            -  Delete International Education from Integrated Learning Cluster and move to
                        Senior Associate Dean of Learning (Community and Occupational Cluster).
            - Agreed that "Choices" was not integrated learning.
            - Delete Multi-cultural from Learning Services Cluster:
            -  Add Academic Advising and Recruitment to Learning Services Cluster (remove
                        from Matriculation and Student Access Services Cluster).

• Under Dean of Administrative Services and Director of Administrative Services, change "Institutional Support Cluster" to "Business Services Cluster:"
            - Done.

• Within Business Services Cluster, delete "College Safety and Facilities" and make direct report to Dean of Administrative Services:
            - Done.

• Under "Matriculation and Student Access Cluster," delete "Academic Advising and Recruitment."
            - Done.

• Remove "Job Placement" from Financial Aid Box and move to Learning Services Cluster:
            - Keep as is for now and revisit in future.

• Make Director of Institutional Planning Research and Assessment a direct report to President:
            - Maintain existing report to Dean of Learning.

• Make the Director of Marketing and PR a direct report to one of the three Deans and remove as a direct report to the President:
            - Maintain current reporting structure;
                        Director is a spokesperson for entire College.

• Move "Financial Aid" to the Matriculation and Student Access Cluster; do not show as a direct report to the Dean of Administrative Services:
            - Done.

• Modify Senior Associate Dean of "Instruction" to "Learning:"
            - Done.

• Location of "Choices" on the chart:
            - Create "Learning - Alternative Delivery Cluster" and show report to
                        Division Chairs/Dean of Learning.
