ORGANIZING FOR LEARNING

Purpose

The purpose of this document is to encourage new thinking and to suggest a learning centered process to inform decision-making concerning the realignment of PVCC's administrative leadership structure.

A Learning Centered Decision Process

The attached document suggests a six stage learning centered process for realigning PVCC's administrative leadership structure. It reflects the organizing beliefs noted above and is responsive to the compelling forces included in the previous sections.

The process is a substantive departure from "past practices" associated with organizational realignment. It is designed to:

  • Encourage conversation and learning.

  • Enrich our understanding of PVCC's administrative leadership in a learning centered college.

  • Generate new thinking about organizational effectiveness.

  • Reflect coherence with our college's culture, i.e. collaborative, innovative, etc.

Your thoughtful review of the process is encouraged.
