The CSPP is a full academic year program in which first year full-time faculty meet with veteran faculty partners, attend group partner meetings, and observe colleagues’ classes to achieve specific learning outcomes that lead to the successful integration of the new professors into the college community. Partners’ committee responsibilities are met by their participation in the program.

Activities for Partners

1. Discuss course management, active learning, and counseling strategies to foster student success.

2. Observe each other teach and discuss the experience

3. Review and discuss the mission, learning and student resources, professional growth opportunities, governance and management practices, and policies and procedures of the college and of the district.

4. Meet with college personnel to gain a better understanding of the contributions of the various roles and responsibilities of these personnel to the mission of the college.

5. Attend a formal session of a committee meeting, forum, or training session to gain a better understanding of current learning issues at the campus, district, state, national, and international levels
