2015 Young Women in Public Affairs Award - Deadline: March 30, 2015
This program, sponsored by the Zonta Club of the Phoenix Area, Inc., recognizes outstanding young women who have shown a commitment to service in the community and leadership achievements that demonstrate a commitment to the advancement of the status of women worldwide. This award is open to pre-college women students, aged 16-19 years, who intend to further their education. (Note: Incoming 2015 college freshmen are eligible for this award. 2015 AzFRW Laura Bush Scholarship - Deadline: April 1, 2015
The Arizona Federation of Republican Women (AzFRW) is pleased to once again offer its Laura Bush Scholarship in the amount of $1,000 to an outstanding young Republican woman attending an Arizona university or college.  This scholarship was established by the AzFRW to honor former First Lady Laura Bush’s work in the area of literacy and educational reform. AAC’s Behavioral Health Academic Scholarship - Deadline: May 31, 2015
American Addiction Centers, a national leader in addiction treatment, is offering $10,000 in scholarships for those majoring in behavioral health, nursing, counseling, psychology, social work, marriage/family therapy, or other program focusing on treating mental health and/or substance abuse issues. The need for qualified people in this field has never been greater, and these scholarships are our small way of helping those who choose to help others.       
Award Amount: 1st place - $5,000; 2nd place - $2,500; 3rd place - $2,500

Eligibility: High school graduate by summer 2015, current full- or part-time undergraduate and graduate students entering or enrolled in behavioral health, nursing, counseling, psychology, social work, marriage/family therapy, or other program focusing on treating mental health and/or substance abuse issues. Must be US Citizen.
Requirements: Submit application form with essay “Why is a career in behavioral health important to you?” (800 words max.) by May 31, 2015. Application forms can be found at

Feeder High School Scholarship - Deadline: June 1, 2015
This scholarship is designed for students who are planning to attend Paradise Valley Community College. This two semester scholarship is renewable for an additional two semesters if the student maintains a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. If eligible this scholarship will award up to a maximum of 48 credit hours.


2015-16 Dougherty Foundation Scholarship - Deadline: June 19, 2015

Students that meet eligibility criteria and are enrolled at a participating community college are eligible for up to $1,000 in scholarship funds each academic year.   Awards are based on the number of credit hours taken per semester. 

6-8 hours = $250 per semester
9-11 hours = $375 per semester
12 + hours = $500 per semester

Navajo Nation/Quality First Child Care Scholarship
Balancing parenthood with your education and/or career can be overwhelming. Quality First Navajo Nation Scholarship Program was designed for families who are permanent residents of the Navajo Nation but are temporarily living in other parts of the state while they attend college. These scholarships are awarded directly to the families and do transfer with the child. Learn more about this scholarship.


Maricopa Community Colleges Foundation Scholarships
Various Scholarships Available to Maricopa Community Colleges Students. There are many different scholarships with many different qualification criteria. Students are able to complete one application to apply for all scholarships!

The Foundation scholarship application is currently accepting applications for the 2015-2016 academic year.

Study Abroad Scholarship

University of Phoenix
Through this scholarship program, fifteen (15) full-tuition scholarships will be offered. Each scholarship will allow a prospective student the opportunity to complete a bachelor's degree program at University of Phoenix. Applicants must have recently graduated with an associate's degree from a League Alliance member college with a GPA of at least 3.0. Recipients may choose to attend a University of Phoenix on-ground campus or may attend University of Phoenix online.
