Must be in good condition for this beautiful hike to the waterfalls (10 miles one way). A recommended schedule for conditioning can be obtained by calling (602)787-7271. Additional Course Fee: $125. Walking |
Course
is for both the beginner and the trained power walker.
Includes Nordic Walking (use of poles) which has an average 20%
higher caloric expenditure. Back

Golf |
Course
covers basic terms, rules, and regulations, how to hold the club,
proper stance, putting the ball, and fundamentals of chipping
and pitching the ball. Students must supply their own golf clubs.
Students must pay additional green fees directly to the golf
course. The first class of each section will meet in room F-130.
All of the 2nd class meetings will be on the Paradise Valley

| Hiking |
Develop
safe and effective hiking skills. First class meets at 8:30A
in F130 (Fitness Center). Must be in good condition for these
hikes. Come prepared to hike with proper clothing, shoes, water
and a snack. Includes a hike to the Superstition Mountains,
Sedona, and other local hikes. Prerequisites: None. Back

for Enthusiasts |
This
class will not leave you in the dust! The class is designed
to meet the needs of conditioned adults with minimal hiking
experience. It will include basic hiking skills, safety tips,
information on outdoor life, nutrition for hikers and much
more. Class meets a total of 6 times on local trails. The first
meeting is a hiking instructional day, orientation, and outdoor
hike around the college athletic fields. Back
