Information:

The Paradise Valley Community College (PVCC) Center for International Studies will annually award three $200 scholarships to students who meet one or more of the following categories and all of the criteria.
Catagories:
  1. International students pursuing their studies at PVCC. (F-1 students are not eligible.)

  2. PVCC students who are taking or have taken two or more courses (five or more credits) identified as International (I) sections in the PVCC schedule.

  3. PVCC students who have declared their major as International Business (IBS) and are pursuing an IBS certificate or degree.
Criteria:
  1. Completed 5 or more PVCC credits prior to applying with a 3.0 GPA for these 5 credits.

  2. Currently enrolled in at least 5 credits at PVCC.
Eligibility:
  1. Completed 5 or more PVCC credits prior to applying.

  2. 3.0 GPA for previous 5 credits.

  3. Currently enrolled in at least 5 credits at PVCC.
Respond to the Following Statements:

Type or word process your responses on 8 1/2" x 11" single-sided sheets of
paper. Responses should be a minimum of ten sentences and a maximum
of two single-spaced pages. Composition and spelling are important
elements of the selection process.
  1. Describe your long-range career goals.

  2. Explain in detail how the scholarship will assist you in meeting your academic goals.
Application Components:
  1. Typed or word processed International Education Scholarship Application Form.

  2. Unofficial transcripts from all Maricopa Community Colleges previously attended.

  3. Written response to both statements regarding career goals and academic goals.
Attach all paperwork to the application form and submit to:
Michele Marion, Director of International Education at PVCC (M building)

Application Deadlines:

April 1 and November 1

Incomplete applications and applications received after the due date will not be reviewed. Applicants will be notified of their award within three weeks of the submission deadline.
