Journalism

Journalism today includes much more than the printed page. Today's journalists are editors, photographers, writers, reporters, videographers, and even bloggers. At its heart, journalism is about providing current, unbiased, objective information to the citizens of the world, enabling them to make good decisions about their government, health, entertainment, and much more. If you have a talent for communication and a passion for the truth, a career in journalism is an ideal choice for your future.

The Certificate of Completion in Journalism at Paradise Valley Community College was designed to supplement your degree by providing credentials in journalism and enabling you to enter the journalism industry at the entry level. In addition to classroom instruction, earning your certificate in this field also provides real world experience on the college's newspaper's staff. Nine credits of the journalism certificate are transferable to the Arizona state universities' journalism schools.
