JSTOR
JSTOR offers a high-quality, interdisciplinary archive to support scholarship and teaching. It includes archives of over one thousand leading academic journals across the humanities, social sciences, and sciences, as well as select monographs and other materials valuable for academic work. The entire corpus is full-text searchable, offers search term highlighting, includes high-quality images, and is interlinked by millions of citations and references. Today, academic journals comprise the majority of the content in the archive. Journals are always included from volume 1, issue 1 and include previous and related titles. The most recently published journal issues (past 3-5 years) are not available. However, users can search this material and link to the publisher's site or other online source for access.

SocINDEX with Full Text

Chronicling America Historic American Newspapers(Free resource)
This site allows you to search and read newspaper pages from 1900-1910 and find information about American newspapers published between 1690-present. Chronicling America is sponsored jointly by the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Library of Congress as part of the National Digital Newspaper Program (NDNP).

Salem Press - History
Salem Press published the critically acclaimed The Sixties in America (60s) in 1999. The Fifties in America (50s), The Seventies in America (70s), and The Eighties in America (80s) all very favorably reviewed, followed. In February, 2009 The Nineties in America (90s) became the latest titles in the Decades series to be available online through Salem History. Salem Press is also providing Great Events in History: Modern Scandals.

Sources in U.S. History Online: Slavery in America
This is a digital collection of over 600 documents in 75,000 pages selected by Vernon Burton and Troy Smith from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and drawn from the Sabin collection and other Gale sources. This project documents key aspects of the history of slavery in America from its origins in Africa to its abolition, including materials on the slave trade, plantation life, emancipation, pro-slavery and anti-slavery arguments, the religious views on slavery, etc.
