If you cannot find your manuscript format question here or in chapter four of the handbook, you may want to try using the subject index at the back of the handbook to find an answer for your manuscript-format question. Remember that this handbook is intended to be used as a reference guide as you write. No writer is expected to know everything, but when it comes to manuscript form, he or she is expected to look up questions in the MLA Handbook.
