Welcome to the PVCC campus! The following tour guideline will help you explore the many resources available @ PVCC. The tour is designed for you to tour the campus on your own so you can take as long as your need at any of the areas/departments. Enjoy your visit! Tour Starts at the Gina Kranitz Student Center in front of the Disability Resource Center Office were you will find most of the Student Service departments. Gina Kranitz Student Center--Student/Services Center Disability Resource Center ( DRC)-- Room KSC119 The DRC department provides information and services to students with any documented disability who are attending classes at PVCC. Services might include any adjustments, modifications, auxiliary aids or services that enable an individual with a disability to have an equal opportunity to reach the same level of achievement as other students. Financial Aid--Room KSC101 This is the place to go when you need help filling out the FASFA (Free Application for Student Financial Aid) form or you want to inquire about scholarships, grants and loans. Do your treasure hunting at the Financial Aid Office (602) 787-7100. Cashiers or Fiscal Office Room KSC106 The Cashiers office serves as the processor of all financial paperwork for the campus. This is where you would come to pay all of your bills and you can even buy stamps. You can also have them print out a schedule for you if you loose yours (This is especially great during the first week of classes when you show up and you forgot or lost your schedule). (602) 787-7350 Admissions and Records--Room KSC111 Student can submit the Student Information and Registration forms to register for their classes. You can also, add/drop classes, request transcripts, and pick up graduation papers, as well as apply for in state tuition. Veteran’s Services are found in this department. (602) 787-7020. Counseling --Room KSC117 Counseling and Advising are two different departments at the college level. The Counseling department can help you decide your major and also help you with any personal problems you may have on a confidential basis. In addition, they offer counseling and personal development classes. (602) 787-6540 Advising --Room KSC186 Advisors help you pick classes according to your major and also help you with questions about transferring to a 4-year college. (602) 787-7060 Safety --Room KSC126 This office provides security and safety measures pertaining to all persons and property on campus. You can also pick up your student ID and your parking sticker. If you need someone to walk you outside after dark they can help you. In case of an emergency, whether a medical emergency, an accident, or criminal activity, the college safety office should immediately be notified by calling (602) 787-7900. Book Store--Room KSC143 The bookstore sells new and used textbooks, school supplies, college clothing, software, greeting cards, gifts etc. If you would like to return textbooks then you must return them within seven days from the first day of class. At the end of the semester, the bookstore may buy back books that will be used the following semester. (602) 787-7120 Student Life Center-- Room KSC135 The Student Life Center on campus strives to make connections between life and leaning. Take advantage of the many opportunities and programs they have to offer for you. You can join one of the 21 different clubs and organizations that PVCC offers. Student Government (SLC) is also housed here. (602) 787-7244 Gina Kranitz Student Center, 2nd Floor Continuing Education/Workforce KSC220 This department offers a wide variety of non-credit courses, workshops, and seminars of general community interest including a number of on-line courses. Opportunities are offered for those seeking intellectual growth, cultural enrichment, and development of other special interests. (602) 787-6800 Assessment/Testing Center--Room KSC226 The Testing center provides placement testing, ESL testing, Instructional testing and the American College Testing program (ACT). The placement test allows advisors to more accurately place student into English, Math, and Reading courses. All students taking English, Math, and Reading must take the placement test before registering for those classes. (602) 787-7050 Conference Rooms are also located in the upper level of this building. Building C Physical Plant Shipping/Receiving Building D Child Development Center (CDC) The CDC is a service available for the children of the PVCC students. The programs main focus is language development, find motor and social skills for children between the ages of 3-8 years. Students can leave their children at the CDC and feel at ease while they go to class. The CDC is also DES contracted. (602) 787-7150 M Building The M Building is a general multipurpose building, which houses classrooms, Faculty Offices, the Human Development Division, the Communication/Humanities Division, the NAU Offices, the Studio Theater and the Art Classroom studios. Building E-- Learning Resources Complex *start at North entrance Distance Learning Center Room E-125 Provides courses in five different distance learning formats: Flex Express, Guided Independent Learning (GIL), Instructional Television, Open Entry / Open Exit (OE/OE). All courses meet the same academic standards and provide the same transfer options as those courses taught in the traditional classroom. (602) 787-6754 or (602) 787-6750 Computer Commons-Room E-137 The Computer Commons provides access and support for students, staff, and faculty learning computer software and hardware and for those using computers to support their PVCC academic or PVCC school-related activities.
