Alpha Omicron Chi is PVCC's chapter of the international honor
society of Phi Theta Kappa.
Phi Theta Kappa is designated as the official honor society of America's two-year colleges by the American Association of Community Colleges. The society was founded with four goals, or Hallmarks, in mind:

Alpha Omicron Chi is actively recruiting new members. This is your opportunity
to be involved in an organization which helps develop leadership and service
skills, provides an opportunity for the exchange of ideas, and strives to stimulate
interest in continued academic excellence.
Any student enrolled in at least six (6) credit hours is welcome to participate in chapter activities as a Provisional Member. Standard Membership is open for students who can participate and meet the following criteria:

Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher based on a minimum of twelve (12) credit hours. |
 |
Currently enrolled with at least six (6) credit hours. |
 |
Adhere to the college conduct code and have recognized qualities of citizenship. |

Be formally initiated into the chapter.

Enhanced Membership is available for students who participate
with frequency and benefit from additional rewards and recognition for their
efforts.
Shifting
from Standard to Enhanced membership is always an option.

General membership meetings are held every Wednesday. The meetings will be from 1:30 pm until 2:30 pm, in KSC 212 on the 2nd floor in the Kranitz Student Center. All members are welcome. |
