Phi Theta Kappa Meeting Minutes for 12-5-2012
· Start time: 1:35pm
· Thank You cards were signed for speakers at the induction ceremony in November 2012. These will be left at the PTK area in SLC, for other people to sign.
· HIA interviews that have been completed G. Zaro, Roma- Deelly, T. Deshea. Team still needs to get in contact with the following professors; S. Valle (Karisa), C. Stephen (Darlene), C. Scinto (Shyla), and E. Reed (Angela).
o Francine indicated that at the Book store ther is a 2 pk of DVD’s on sale for 0.19 cents.
o How many DVD’s are we making? About 100. Giving the interviewees about 2-3 copies for their classes, department heads to get 2 copies. Several to go to the main library. Others ? to sale, and go to main high schools in the area. Hand out at senior nights.
o Make insert pamphlet with a Bio of each interviewee and a page for each topic. This will be included with each DVD.
o Need to find someone to do editing.
o Darlene will look into Frys Electronics to get prices for DVDs and cases.
· Monday is C4, Community College Completion Corps. At 8am to 1pm. Table will be set next to Flapjack and Finals area. Posters and signup sheets have been submitted for printing at the Print Center, per Ryan Martin. Phil and Aaron will be here at 8am to set up. Angela and Shyla will be there at 10-12pm.
· Next semester we need to focus on fundraising ideas, to get more $ for San Jose.

Denise Digianfilippo Dean- Talked with clubs about the upcoming accreditation in 2014-2015 year. Planning is going on now. Review of the Vision and Mission statement and how to get it know to students better. Core Values and Supporting Values reviewed as well. Asking clubs to help with ideas. Suggestion by Phil to have a “ I am PVCC” video made. They will be looking at the website as well. Put up more pictures on the website. Also suggestion made to have stations set up with explanations for each superhero. Games or even trivia.

Monday Dec 10th 830 am to 1145 or later. Have table next to the Flap Jacks and Finals tables. Darlene will complete a sign-up sheet. And get with Ryan on making the pledge pages for students to sign. Changed to making a DVD. Video panel members. Shea and Phil typed up letters and questions. Letters need to be given out by the end of the week to the panel members. G. Zaro, C. Scinto, S. Valle, C. Steffen, D. Bradley, Roma. Deeley, and others. Talked about including community members of various art professions to also interview? Video needs to be done by end of semester..

- Volunteers needed! Please go if you can!
- Need help setting up, during the event, cleaning after and staffing areas.
- Will get a Free "Glow The Vote" T-shirt, a Certificate plus a wonderful experience.
- There will be performances, speakers, and information.
