Meeting Called To Order: 12:05 by Scott Mason
- Blood Drive (KSC 208)
- Dates: April 18th-19th
- Time: 8:30am-1:30pm

- Project Graduation
- Volunteers needed for collecting donations and ceremony tasks
- Food and Book drop off boxes will be found around campus
- Food donations will be sent to St. Mary’s Food Bank and the Books will be donated to the Phoenix Children’s Hospital
- Positions for Next Year
- Still looking for a new faculty member to fill the co-advisor position. Please make any suggestions to Steven Nicoloff or Scott Mason.

- April 9-13 Phi Theta Kappa Nationals in Nashville
- More fundraising will happen next year for more members to attend nationals
- April 30th Update for 5 Star
- September 3rd MDA telethon hosted by Jerry Lewis.
- Volunteers will be needed
- Fall registration
- September 29th ADA walk
- Midwestern College 5:00pm
- Twighlight walk with glow sticks 1 ½-2 miles
- Register before April 13th

- October 19-21 Honors Regional Meeting in Flagstaff
- Mid October invitations will go out
- November 2-4nd Cancer 3-Day walk
- Phoenix Warriors Team
- Need more PTK members
- Crew Volunteers to help run the event (no donation needed)
- December 7th Academic All American Scholarship application due
- February 1st 2008 All PTK member awards must be completed and all leadership essays
- February 29th-March 2nd 2008 Regional Convention
- April 3rd-5th 2008 Internationals in Philadelphia

The meeting was called to order at12:01pm by Scott Mason.

- Guest Speaker- United Blood Drive, Charlotte Cafferata
- This year we will be hosting the blood drive with Student Life.
- The blood drive will be for 2 days April 18th and 19th.
- There will be a sign up booth set up in front of student life or students can sign up on line.
- We need to ASK students to sign up and promote the drive in class.
- Giving blood will count for Wellness Team points.
- Donors can get a free cholesterol count with their blood donation.
- Project Graduation
- Cynthia will be chairing the project
- Promote the project in your classes. Asking for donations of food and children’s books.
- Collection boxes and posters will be set up around the campus.
- Donations will be collected at graduation.
- Positions open for next year’s term
- Lisa has resigned as co-advisor for PTK due to her new family addition and responsibilities. We wish her well with motherhood and hope to see her around campus.
- If you know of anyone interested in filling the 2 advisory positions for Phi Theta Kappa please contact Steve Nicoloff or Scott Mason.
- Chapter of fellowship officer position still open. If you or any PTK member you know is interested in filling this position please contact Steve Nicoloff or Scott Mason..
- Service & Fellowship Opportunity
- Cynthia FuQua is heading up Team “Phoenix Warriors” for the Komen for the Cure 3 day Walk.
- She is looking for PTK members from all Maricopa Schools to join her team. It is great opportunity for fellowship and service.
- If you can not commit to the 3 day walk you can also support her team with a donation. go to http://www.the3day.org/arizona07/cfuqua for more info and to make a donation.
- Contest to be held for new PTK Logo
- Marina Haley to write up contest rules
- Grand prize will be a nano ipod donated by Cynthia FuQua

- Next PTK meeting will be held April 18th ,12:00-1:00pm.

- Scott Mason gave an overview of the benefits and expectations of PTK membership.
- Steven Nicoloff provided additional information and websites.
- Alex Jungwirth shared her experience being a PTK member and officer.
- Question and Answer session
- Scott opened the floor to questions from potential members.
- Scott, Steven and current members field some great questions from the audience.
- Officer Responsibilities and Nominations
- Scott reviewed the responsibilities of the different officer positions.
- Interest was generated for the open officer positions and nominations were gathered.
- Officer Elections for PTK 2007-2008 term
- President – Scott Mason returning not challenged
- VP of Scholarship – Rebecca Martos Installed 15 votes
- VP of Leadership – Melina Ostrander Installed 15 votes
- VP of Service – Cynthia FuQua Installed 15 votes
- VP of Fellowship – Open
- VP of Fundraising – Shawna Marchus Installed 15 votes
- Recorder – Laurie Bachand Installed 15 votes
- Treasurer – Marina Haley – returning not challenged
- New officers were sworn in.
