- We need to do more fundraising to pay for International and regional meetings

- Tabled until next meeting due to most were at the PTK International meeting.
- Old Business
- Relay for life April 11th
The PTK Team has approx 13 team members we would like to get more.
- Wellness Fair April 9th 9:00am-1:pm
Members are encouraged to sign up for 1 hour time slots to help promote the blood fair and PTK.
- PTK sponsored Blood Drive April 16th -17th
Members are encouraged to promote the blood fair in their classrooms, on campus and in the community. A new Member is apart of the EMT and fire program. He will pass the info onto his instructor to help promote to all the classes in that program. Volunteers are needed to help the blood drive staff with checking in and monitoring the movies.

- Recruiting for New Officers for next year.
Most of the current officers are graduating this year and there are many leadership opportunities for new and returning members to take on officer responsibilities.

- Dress code: Business casual all days (represent our school for future hosting)
- Academic Market Place at Regional’s
- We decided to sell magnet bumper decals, stickers for tree donations, and tee shirts
- Installation of New Officer
- Allie Bradburry: wants to be installed as VP of Leadership
- Marina Hailey nominates Allie Bradburry for Vice President of Leadership, second by Cynthia 7 yes/0 nos/0 abstentions
- Invitations
- Have been completed by Scott Mason.

- During the v-day event.
- Approval is in the process

- More colored flyers will be handed out the week of the 18th.
- Vday Event
- Volunteers needed for College Times booth: 10-2pm. Thursday, Friday, and Wednesday 20th. Stop by the table and volunteer time to talk with students and answer any questions.
- Look over the v-day website to gain more knowledge of the organization and mission.
- 90% of money raised go to our community and 10% goes to the corporation to fight the many violence occurrences toward women

- Leadership: Allie wants to organize a letter to ask for donations of a tree. She has made a flyer for bringing in new members to our Relay for Life team.
- Service: More phi theta kappa members are needed to join our Relay for Life team!!! Additionally, the American Heart Association hearts are being sold by SWAP downstairs

- They have our hallmarks and they are being judged.
- We will find out at Regionals any awards we receive
- New Members:
- Jeffery- interested in filling one of the officer positions.
- Angelica- has been in Phi Theta Kappa for a while but now has the opportunity to get involved.
- Regional’s
- Agendas were passed out for this event.
- Registration price: $60 before the 22nd
- No one is allowed to register at the door so everyone must be registered by the 28th

- Marketplace Items: we are thinking of getting a place in the marketplace with:

- Kick off 4:00-8:30 on February 5th.
- Alternative Relay Meeting is going to be planned: for members who want to walk and those that are helping with fundraising.
- Fundraising Ideas:
- Rubios is rescheduled to February 21st.
- Car washes will be held on campus in March 19th. From 8:00-1:00. Volunteers needed so please contact Allie, or Marylin.

- Service: no report
- Fellowship: 3 new members that are signing up. Immerging leaders is doing a dumpster dive for recycling awareness.
- Treasurer: no updates
- Fundraising: no officer update
- Secretary: flag is under construction- design was decided.
- Advisor Reports
- 2nd set of labels are in Stephens office. Dr. Kinkles is signing the letter and will be ready on Friday. Stuffing will occur at the next meeting on Feb 13th in the Student Life Office.
- Hosting Regionals
- Rio will not be an active chapter next year and
- Chandler Gilbert are going to consider cohosting. Updates next week.

- Hallmark Awards Wrap-up
- Everything has been sent out UPS.
- There no 5 Star chapters in the northern region. In the Central region : Chandlar estrei pv rio south mnt phx college mesa.
- Pinnacle: Kingman north. Southern coolage, thantcher uma and douglass. Central: gateway, chandlar, pv, rio, mesa, Scottsdale, phoenix, estra, and south mountain.
- Co-Hosting with Rio Salado Chapter
- This chapter has declined and we are trying for others.

- Must go all three days!!!
- If you are unable to go all three days then there will be a fee.
- Internationals Update
- Paul wants us to fundraise part of the cost.
- Everyone will be going as planned

- The current Vice President of Leadership Brenda Kisrow is being recalled
- Motion called by Laurie Bachand. Motion carried by Piotr. Vote 6 in favor/0 refute/0 abstentions.

- Scholarship:
- application for maroon and gold ASU is Feb 1st.
- Honors alliance is open to fee waver and presidential scholarship students.
- Chancellors, Foundations, and Betty Hedin Elsner Scholarships are all due Feb 14.
- The Unniversity of Wyoming has a $3000 scholarship opportunity for Phi Theta Kappa members with a GPA over 3.4.
- Boston University has a “half-tuition” scholarship award for members (must be nominated and sent in application by March 15).
- Service: no reports
- Fellowship: Pinnacle award made.
- Tresure: $1,394
- Fundraising:Rubios. Date tentatively set for February 21st.

- Volunteers will be needed Tuesday-Friday for the table. Stop by whenever you have a break

- Personal thank you to Laurie, Cynthia, JaMae, Violetta, Scott, for working the welcome tent
- Introduction of new members
- We had two new members at the meeting.
- We thank them both for their participation
- Officer Reports:
- Scholarship: collegefish.org is back up and running so check it out
- Leadership: Oikos/Phi Theta Kappa plant a tree proposal and planning. There are set guidelines from PVCC about what kind and size of tree we may plant. This requires a $2300 donation.
- Service: no new updates
- Fellowship: Internationals club wants to set up an event with Phi Theta Kappa. We will discuss with them about the Vagina Monologues and see if they want to help.
- Treasure: Officer was absent, no report given
- Fundraising: Rubios Fresh Mexican Grill fundraiser will be held on Feb 24th.
- PR: pictures needed for myspace page and updating the Phi Theta Kappa website. All officers must submit pictures
- Relay for Life:
- PTK team: collect donations ($1000 required to participate), certain number of members must be on the team
- Held on PVCC campus
- Kick off meeting: 29th of November for all PTK members who want to come
- National Collegiate Leadership Conference February 15-17, 2008
- Held in Tuscon
- All other PTK clubs had some members present last year
- Leadership Workshops!
- Regional's February 29-March 2, 2008
- We can take as many people as we want!!
- Held: Mesa
- Taking a van and will come back in the evenings
- International's April 3-5, 2008
- Location: Philadelphia
- Goal: we need to fundraise as much as we can to take all officers
