Blogging offers a new platform for student press

Puma Press editors are blogging for the second semester at PVCC under the advisement of adjunct journalism faculty, Le Templar, a veteran journalist.

Writing in journalistic style, students blog on subjects, including humor, politics, book reviews, sports and entertainment. They are required to do the blogs as Puma Press editors and part of their training for the field of journalism. Blogging offers a recognized forum for expression outside of traditional print media.

“Blogging provides another writing outlet for me to pursue issues and ideas that interest me,” says Templar.

“…On What I Know (Templar’s own blog), I only have to be concerned with my own views,” says Templar.
